A Double Win for SKODA Octavia at the UK Car of the Year Awards 2021
The SKODA Octavia was named Estate Car of the Year at the 2021 UK Car of the Year Awards, whilst the Octavia Hatch took home the Family Car of the Year title.
The UK Car of the Year Awards is an independent ceremony that celebrates the best models on the UK market. It’s the award’s 6th year of running and includes a judging panel which is made up of 29 journalists and experts from the automotive industry, all of who write for the likes of Top Gear Magazine, The Sunday Times and Classic Car Weekly.
This year, the Skoda Octavia Hatch was named Family Car of the Year, after impressing judges with its spacious interior and comfortability.
The judges explained: “Bigger, better, more comfortable and downright impressive, the Skoda Octavia shows thoughtful design coupled to comfort will always make a compelling case. Stylish looks are a welcome addition to Octavia’s armoury and it offers a lot and delivers excellent drive and comfort. Roomy, classy interior and great value - an easy win.”
But that wasn’t the only recognition the model received at this year’s virtual award ceremony. The SKODA Octavia Estate was named Estate Car of the Year, thanks to its practicality and affordability.
Commenting on the SKODA Octavia Estate, judges said: “It provides masses of space and practicality. Interior quality has taken a big step forwards, while the Octavia remains as practical as ever. The huge luggage space puts many bigger and more expensive estate cars to shame. It’s comfortable, spacious and practical!”
