Bristol Street Motors Oxford Peugeot is supporting a local educational hub in Oxford with a charity donation.

Shahzad Yousaf, sales executive at Bristol Street Motors, helped organise a charity football tournament and Fun Day for children at St Gregory the Great School, which raised over £2,000 for the Wilaya Trust.

The Wilaya Trust provides support to community-based educational programmes, while serving as an educational consultancy. The trust draws upon Islamic traditions of education and has a team made up of academics, teachers, entrepreneurs, project managers, health specialists, and technology experts.

Twenty teams took part in the tournament from a number of local businesses around the Oxfordshire area and the winning team was a Banbury team, securing their first win in the tournament since it began nine years ago.

Shahzad said: “I am so pleased the dealership has supported this event and helped to fundraise for such a great local cause. The money raised will go towards the running and leasing of the hub and will make a positive difference to the people using the centre’s facilities and services.”

Ollie Bell, General Manager at Bristol Street Motors Oxford Peugeot, said: “It is great to have members of the Bristol Street team organising their own events and supporting our local community. Shahzad brought this to our attention and we were more than happy to help him with the football tournament and family fun day, which raised money for a great cause.”
