Chevrolet and Mazda triumph at Towcar Awards

Motorists looking for serious pulling power and great value for money have been advised to check out the new Chevrolet Orlando or the Mazda CX-7.

Both cars took major awards at the annual Towcar Awards, as organised by What Car? Magazine, the Camping and Caravanning Club, and Practical Caravan.

The Chevrolet Orlando took the Best Value award, with the judges praising it for its towing stability, pulling power and all-round practicality.

Nigel Donnelly, editor of Practical Caravan, said: "You get a lot of car for your money with the Chevrolet Orlando. It's very stable, has plenty of space for a family's luggage and is sturdily built. It's an impressively roomy and capable towcar."

The Orlando was launched in the UK in February and prices start at just £16,410 on the road, which is highly competitive for a seven-seat MPV.

Furthermore, the Mazda CX-7 was named as Editor's Choice, with Mr Donnelly describing it as "one of the best 4x4 towcars you can buy for sensible money".

The Japanese crossover boasts great pulling power of 400 Nm, as well as 37.7 mpg fuel efficiency.
