Chrysler Grand Voyager impresses in the family car market

The new Chrysler Grand Voyager is making its way into dealerships up and down the country, with the family vehicle intended to deliver practicality and performance in its class.

Available in the region of £35,000, the car is powered by a 2,777 cc diesel engine, attached to a six-automatic manual transmission.

The car is able to achieve a top speed of 115mph and can reach 62mph from standing in just 12.8 seconds. However, for parents who need the car for the school run, details like this aren't quite as important.

More relevant, perhaps, is the Chrysler's ability to deliver 35.8mpg, while providing 756 litres of space and adjustable seats which could see this room increase to 3,296 litres.

The Grand Voyager is able to transport up to seven adults in absolute comfort, so this will be more than enough room for a car-full of fidgeting kids!

For some the vehicle might seem all too familiar. It is the car used on BBC's The Apprentice, with the Chrysler carrying budding businessmen and women all to different tasks. If it's good enough for Alan Sugar, it must be good enough to take to the shops!

Providing in-car entertainment with flip down DVD entertainment system in the roof, and including a number of safety features such as rear parking cameras and sensors, as well as blind spot warning systems, the Chrysler delivers comfort and safety in one excellent all-round package.
