Citroen extends navigation and security offer
Citroen is to boost its navigation and vehicle tracking services following the introduction of the Trackstar and the Trafficmaster Smartnav to some vans earlier in the year.
The company is to start offering the package as an option on its Nemo, Berlingo First and all other Combi and chassis variants at a subsidised price, following the success of the move to fit the devices as standard on Berlingo, Dispatch and Relay panel vans earlier this year.
Head of commercial vehicles and business sector at Citroen, Charles Peugeot, said that the company has "long recognised" the benefits for driver productivity that advanced telematics can bring and as a result the company fits more Trafficmaster Smartnav systems as standard to more LCVs than other manufacturers.
The new offer, bringing the service, as well as the Trackstar stolen vehicle tracking package, extends availability to the entire Citroen van range, he added.
Earlier this month the manufacturer confirmed it has delivered six new Citroen vans to Fitness First, due in part to the low emissions and the low whole-life costs of the vans.
