CUPRA Celebrating Success After Carbuy Best Car Award Wins
Winners of the 2024 Carbuyer Best Car Awards were recently announced and CUPRA brought home three awards.
The CUPRA Born was crowned Best Small Company Car for the second year in a row. Whilst the CUPRA Formentor was named Best Hot SUV for a third consecutive year.
Meanwhile in the Carbuyer Best Used Car Awards 2024, the CUPRA Ateca won the title of Best Used Hot SUV.
Carbuyer is a trusted source for car reviews, offering expert advice for motorists. The annual awards recognise the best cars across 18 different categories. To be considered for the awards, cars must excel across a range of areas. These include performance, efficiency, practicality, and technology.
CUPRA Born – Best Small Company Car
The CUPRA Born was commended for its specification and battery package options. A testament to the car, this is the second time Born has picked up the best small company car award.
Boasting a stylish exterior, impressive performance, and premium comfort. CUPRA Born offers three different battery options. In addition to three trim levels – V1, V2, and V3.
CUPRA’s first all-electric car offers a range of up to 343 miles (WLTP) and a BIK rating of 2%.

CUPRA Formentor – Best Hot SUV
Claiming the title for a third consecutive year, CUPRA Formentor was crowned Best Hot SUV.
It was commended by Carbuyer for striking the ideal balance between performance and usability. The model offers drivers a wide range of powertrains and trim levels.
Commenting on the Formentor’s win, Richard Ingram added: "If you want the firepower of a sports car, plus the usability of a crossover, then the CUPRA Formentor is the best of its type. Negligible trade-off versus a traditional hot hatchback, plus that all-important SUV style.”
CUPRA Ateca – Best Used Hot SUV
Meanwhile, in the Carbuyer Best Used Car Awards 2024, CUPRA Ateca was named Best Used Hot SUV.
The Ateca was the first model launched by CUPRA in 2018 and continues to delight drivers five years later. It was commended for offering an exhilarating driving experience and enticing practicality.
