Fiat: New generation Panda is the best version yet

The latest edition of Fiat's classic Panda model has been described as rugged and capable, quite possibly the "ultimate version" ever.

This third generation model still retains all of the quirks that has made it extremely popular over the years, with its fun character, versatility, functionality and "legendary" use of space all still a part of the overall finish.

However, it has been designed to meet the needs of the 21st century driver and accordingly comes with quality, comfort, technology and safety requirements that are demanded by consumers.

What makes this stand out from the rest of the crowd is its ability to link an automatic four-wheel drive system to a range of engines, from advanced to economical.

It makes for a difficult decision. On the one hand, drivers can opt for a powerful 875cc TwinAir Turbo engine; while on the other hand, a 1.3-litre Multijet 2 turbo diesel alternative is equally desirable.

"Designed to be easy to live with, the Panda 4x4 and Trekking feature the regular model’s Dualdrive electric power steering with 'City' function to make manoeuvring simple," Fiat stated.

"There are six airbags, four of them standard, ABS anti-lock braking, and ESP (Electronic Stability Program) as standard."
