FIAT ready to display two new 500 models in Geneva

Italian manufacturer FIAT has revealed the 2014 Geneva Motor Show will host the global debut of two new 500 models.

The first is the latest TwinAir 105hp engine equipped version of the FIAT 500, marking new power for the new year.

A major development for the 2014 FIAT 500 model, the engine is the newest member of the TwinAir engine family. It utilises a high-efficiency turbocharger for quality performance with low emissions.

It also makes use of a Start&Stop fuel saving system to further reduce the power needed to run the vehicle.

The 0.9-litre engine is twinned to a six-speed manual gearbox as standard and is able to achieve a top speed of 117mph and a zero to 62mph speed in ten seconds. This is all possible while only emitting 99g/km of CO2 and delivering 67mpg on the combined fuel economy cycle.

In addition to the new engine, the 2014 edition of the 500 comes with a seven-inch TFT screen which allows the driver and front passenger to make the most of the media player, navigation system, traffic updates and telephone information.

Furthermore, FIAT will be revealing the 500 Cult - the latest addition to an already impressive range of vehicles.

This version builds on the success of the Lounge version and features 16-inch alloy wheels, chrome exterior detailing and rear parking sensors. It will also come with the same TFT instrument panel, as well as leather seats as standard.
