Ford debuts new Focus ST at Goodwood Festival of Speed

Ford's latest Focus ST, a powerful, dynamic car, makes its debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Considered the most advanced model yet, this latest edition has plenty to offer, including new chassis control technologies, bespoke tyre specification and finely-tuned suspension and steering.

The Focus ST comes with a choice of two engines. The 185PS 2.0?litre TDCi diesel engine delivers 0-62mph in 8.1 seconds, 64.2 mpg and 114 g/km CO2, while the 250PS 2.0-litre EcoBoost delivers 0-62mph in 6.5 seconds, 41.5 mpg and 158 g/km CO2.

"The new Focus ST delivers an even more sophisticated balance of performance, driving dynamics, refinement and style – the core of Ford’s sports technologies DNA," commented Joe Bakaj, vice president of product development at Ford of Europe.

"Even more enjoyable and rewarding to drive and with the choice of diesel power for the first time, the new Focus ST is in a class of its own."

The five-door vehicle, much sportier in aesthetic, also comes with connectivity features, such as the SYNC 2 in-car, as well as multiple driver assistance technologies.
