Ford Fiesta named Used Car of the Year
Independent car information expert CAP has praised the Ford Fiesta with its Used Car of the Year 2012 honour.
For a vehicle to gain the prestigious award, the motor must be capable of displaying standout levels of affordability and practicality of ownership.
It must also have a trusted reputation, be appealing to both trade and consumer circles and achieve a sustained popularity in the used car market.
The organisation's judging panel declared that the Ford Fiesta excelled when analysed and quite simply is "the perfect used car choice for motorists and used car dealers".
Looking further into what makes this particular brand from the American car giant so appealing, the CAP experts disclosed that the vehicle defies the variations in consumer tastes.
Despite being a very popular model, the Ford Fiesta was also praised for having a desirable image and always looks fresh even when an updated car is due to hit the market.
The car's consistent level of reliability was also highlighted by the judging panel, as was its renowned quality and value for money. The fact that the Ford Fiesta is a cherished car by young and old drivers alike just underlines the success that the vehicle has achieved in the motoring industry.
Mark Norman, from CAP, acknowledged: "The Ford Fiesta is a genuinely great used car for all of the reasons we have outlined.
"Motorists love it because it does exactly what they want it to. Dealers love it because it provides them with a reliable and fair profit opportunity and the accolade of CAP Used Car of the Year 2012 is well deserved by the Ford Fiesta."
The praise from CAP is the latest accolade presented to the Ford Fiesta, after beloved motoring publication What Car? also recently named the American manufacturer's brand as its own Used Car of the Year 2012.
