Ford to play key role in this year's UEFA Champions League final

American car maker Ford has revealed its plans for the final of the 2012/13 UEFA Champions League, a tournament which the firm is the longest-standing official partner of.

The manufacturer has been associated with one of the biggest football competitions across the world since it was first set up in the 1992/93 season.

In order to honour the partnership for the 2012/13 final, Ford is to provide its brand-new Ford Kuga vehicles for use as support transport into and out of the illustrious Wembley Stadium.

In the run-up to the ultimate match of this season’s UEFA Champions League, the smart utility vehicle will feature in TV adverts during the remaining matches of the competition this campaign as well.

On top of this, Ford has set up a competition whereby football fans from 27 countries across Europe have the opportunity to win 360 tickets to see the 2012/13 UEFA Champions League final live from Wembley on May 25th.

Roelant de Waard, the vice president of marketing, sales and service at Ford of Europe, pointed out: “This competition offers a money-can’t-buy opportunity to witness first-hand the biggest football event in Europe this year.

“It is also a chance for customers to find out exactly how good our smart utility vehicle – the new Ford Kuga – really is.”
