Hyundai Leads The Winners of The Auto Express New Car Awards 2023
- The All-New Hyundai KONA picked up three awards
- Hyundai TUCSON won the Best Mid-Sized SUV Award for the third consecutive year
- The New Hyundai i10 was also crowned City Car of The Year
Hyundai are among the big winners of the Auto Express New Car Awards 2023. The winners were announced during a ceremony at the London Barbican Conservatory on 4th July.
Auto Express is the UK’s biggest car magazine, and the New Car Awards were established in 1993. The awards celebrate the best cars available on the market across a number of categories.
The award winners are decided by a team of experienced road testers, led by Auto Express Editor-in-Chief, Steve Fowler.
All-New Hyundai KONA
Despite only being unveiled earlier this year, the All-New Hyundai Kona picked up three of the five awards.
It won the prestigious Car of The Year award for the second time in three years. Other awards included Small SUV of the Year and Small Company Car of the Year.
The Auto Express judging panel were impressed by the All-New KONA’s dynamic design and state-of-the-art technology.
Also helping to cinch the awards is the variety of engines the All-New KONA offers private and company car owners. With an Internal Combustion Engine (ICE), Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEV) and all Electric Vehicles (EV) on offer.

Hyundai TUCSON
The Hyundai TUCSON continued the winning streak, picking up the Best Mid-Sized SUV Award for the third consecutive year.
Judges continue to be impressed with the TUCSON’s range of efficient powertrains, driver technology and fantastic ownership experience. Hyundai TUCSON prices start from £30,200.
New Hyundai i10
The New Hyundai i10 was revealed this year with an updated design and affordable price, and has already been crowned City Car of The Year.
The compact car offers a generous specification with a stylish cabin and roomy interior. Deliveries are expected to start later this year with prices starting from £15,420.
The awards continue to cement Hyundai’s status as a leading car manufacturer. In April, the Hyundai IONIQ 6 picked up three World Car Awards. The IONIQ 6 was named World Car of the Year, World Electric Vehicle and World Car Design of the Year.
