Iveco Eurocargo Hybrid makes UK debut at Rockingham

This year's Low Carbon Vehicle event at the Rockingham Motor Speedway is being used by Iveco to unveil its new Eurocargo Hybrid vehicle.

The 12-tonne vehicle was given its UK debut yesterday (September 7th) and will also be on display today.

It joins a long list of low-carbon Iveco models currently available in the UK, with the line-up offering electric traction vehicles, hybrid models and others using natural gas and ultra-clean EEV diesel technologies.

Martin Flach, product director at Iveco UK, commented: "We have managed to engineer all of the hybrid technology into the Eurocargo with only a 250 kg payload deficit over a conventional diesel-engined model.

"This is testament to Iveco’s unrivalled experience with alternative fuel technologies and our commitment to offering fleets the most practical real-world solutions to lowering carbon emissions."

Also on display at the industry event are a seven-tonne model which Iveco is preparing to enter operation with Tesco and a 3.5 tonne company demonstration vehicle.
