Motability Big Events 2024: A Look Back at Birmingham and Beyond
We’re looking back at the first of this year’s Motability Big Events that took place recently in Birmingham.
- Each year, Motability hosts nationwide events to help customers get closer to accessible vehicles.
- The first of this year’s events took place on 17th and 18th May in Birmingham.
- Three more events are still to come in Edinburgh, Exeter, and Harrogate.
If you’ve been a Motability customer for some time, you may be familiar with The Big Event. Each year, Motability hosts events to help customers learn more about accessible vehicles. It's also a great opportunity to get advice from Motability experts.
We’re looking back on the first event in Birmingham on 17th and 18th May. As well as looking ahead to upcoming events in Edinburgh, Exeter, and Harrogate.
The Big Event - Birmingham
If you visited the Big Event at The NEC in Birmingham, we hope you had a great time! But if you couldn’t make it, don't worry - we’ve rounded up all the key events for you.
The two-day event proved hugely popular, with thousands of Motability customers in attendance.
Highlights included:
- More than 160 cars, Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles (WAVs) and adaptations.
- More than 70 scooters and powered wheelchairs.
- Test drives across standard and adaptation vehicles.
- Speakers and Motability Scheme advisors.
- An Electric Vehicle Information Hub.

There are still three Big Events set to take place this year:
The Big Event Exeter – Westpoint
Friday 28th and Saturday 29th June from 9am – 4pm
The Big Event Harrogate – Yorkshire Event Centre
Friday 9th and Saturday 10th August from 9am – 4pm
The Big Event Edinburgh – Royal Highland Centre
Friday 13th and Saturday 14th September from 9am – 4pm
What can you expect at The Big Event?
There will be a huge range of vehicles on display, including standard production and adaptation vehicles. You can also view a range of scooters and powered wheelchairs.
