Nissan promises to keep on expanding its Nismo brand

Nissan has stated that it is not finished with its state-of-the-art Nismo brand just yet, with more vehicles from the Japanese manufacturer set to receive sportier varieties.

In fact, the car maker has gone as far as to guarantee that at least one new addition to the 370Z Nismo range will be released into the European market every year during the ongoing Nissan Power88 period.

These vehicles are set to cover a wide selection of designs and specifications, with Nissan hoping that the range will eventually encompass the breadth of its brand.

One of the most eagerly-anticipated cars set to be given the Nismo treatment in the next few years will be the GT-R – Nissan's flagship model where performance and technology is concerned.

Commenting on this particular announcement, Carlos Ghosn, the chief executive of Nissan, said: "It would be unthinkable for us to develop a range of Nismo road cars without including the GT-R.

"The standard road car is a global supercar and the GT-R's performance on track reflects the passion and talents of the Nismo team. The GT-R Nismo will be special and I can't wait to drive it."
