Peugeot Bipper scoops industry award
The Peugeot Bipper is set to become a more in-demand commercial vehicle in the UK after scooping a coveted industry award.
This year's Fleet Van Awards saw the French car maker's hugely-popular model handed the City Van of the Year 2011 prize.
According to the judging panel, the Bipper's compact proportions, efficient HDi diesel engine and impressive load volume set it apart in the competitive category.
Indeed, the model boasts a payload of up to 660kg and a load volume of 2.5 square metres.
Commenting on the win, Phil Robson, Peugeot's fleet director, said the Bipper is a worthy winner of the honour.
"The Bipper is a terrific light commercial van and thoroughly deserves to be the Fleet Van City Van of the Year 2011," he commented.
"Winning this prestigious award is yet another demonstration of the importance we place in product excellence with good customer support and after sales service support."
