Record September for SEAT

The popularity of the current SEAT line-up, which included the Ibiza, Leo, Exeo and Altea models, has been highlighted by recent SMMT figures.

According to the organisation's latest data, last month saw the Spanish manufacturer's sales increase by 100 per cent when compared to September 2010.

Indeed, the figures revealed that the firm is outperforming the market by some distance with a year-to-date increase of 14 per cent.

By way of comparison, the market as a whole is just four per cent up on last year.

The firm singled out the SEAT Exeo as one of the main drivers for the strong growth seen so far in 2011.

Sally Livingstone-Dennis, SEAT UK's national fleet sales manager, said: "These fabulous figures underline the success we are having out there in what is, and I think will remain, a very tough fleet market.

"The initiatives we have put in place over the past couple of years – investments in both people and systems – are now bearing fruit and I'm convinced that this successful performance will continue."
