Refreshed Vauxhall Insignia revealed

The wraps are off Vauxhall’s freshly face-lifted Insignia mid-size model, and the good news is that prices are down and fuel efficiency is up.

The revised inside and out, and under the bonnet, new Vauxhall Insignia goes on sale today and can be bought in a wide range of body styles; a five-door Hatch, four-door Saloon and a Sports Tourer estate, with the new range of cars priced from £16,279, which, according to Vauxhall, is nearly £2,000 less than the entry price into the outgoing Insignia range the new models replace.

Close attention has clearly been paid to efficiency for the new Insignia range, with an impressive four new engines on offer, which includes a sub-100g/km CO2 engine - the 99g/km 140PS 2.0 CDTi diesel. On the petrol side we have an all-new 1.6 SIDI 170PS Turbo and a new 250PS 2.0 SIDI Turbo. Existing diesel engines have also received tweaks and refinements to keep pace with economy demands.

Keeping pace with infotainment tech on the inside is an all-new media system that features Bluetooth-operated internet connectivity, an 8-inch touchscreen, 3D navigation and voice control, and it’s compatible with smartphones too. A DMB (Digital Media Broadcast) radio is now standard across the range, bringing a huge radio station choice with it.

The new Vauxhall Insignia range is on sale now, with deliveries beginning in October.
