SEAT shocks expectant customers with Leon Cupra 'simulator'

SEAT has been supremely excited about its new Leon Cupra model, with the manufacturer saying it is the quickest and most powerful production model it has ever created.

Fans of the brand are unsurprisingly anxious about getting into the car for the first time, so SEAT decided to offer two enthusiasts a unique experience.

The two were treated to an 'extreme simulator' of the Leon Cupra, climbing into the mechanical metal pod to watch a film of the car in motion, while feeling the movements via the simulator.

However, what they didn't know was that they were actually sat in a Leon Cupra, which reversed out of the pod before setting off on a dramatic car chase around an abandoned dockside.

They were able to experience the pace and power of the machine, unaware of the fact it was a car, not a simulator, doing all the work.

The Leon Cupra is powered by a 2.0-litre engine, available in either 265PS or 280PS. It can tackle 0-62mph in just 5.7 seconds, while keeping the pedal to the metal will see it climb to a top speed of 155mph.
