UK buyers can order Ford's new Mustang for the first time in history
For the first time in 50 years, customers in the UK can now specify and order the new Ford Mustang.
Equipped with a 313bhp 2.3-litre EcoBoost engine or a the larger 417bhp 5.0-litre V8, the new Mustang fastback and convertible models are now available to order using the online configurator, FordStores.
FordStores enables customers to specify their Mustang and review pricing, while smartphone and tablet users can preview and share how their Mustang will look, using a new reality app that places their car in the setting of their choice.
The app allows customers to select body style, exterior colour, and alloy wheels, before viewing their car in a real-time location using the camera feature of their mobile. Vice president, marketing, sales and service of Ford of Europe, Roelant de Waard, said: "There's never been a better time to introduce this iconic car across Europe.
"The new Ford Mustang is the most modern, technologically advanced and forward-looking Mustang in the history of the marque. Being able to specify a Mustang that reflects your individual character has always been a key part of the model's appeal. With our new app, customers will be able to see exactly how the all-new Mustang could look outside their house, and as a part of their life."
