Vauxhall scores new Liverpool FC partnership
Vauxhall Motors has increased it partnerships with home nations football clubs, having agreed a new sponsorship deal with Liverpool Football Club.
The manufacturer will become the Premier League side's 'official automotive partner' and will remain so until the end of the 2015-16 season. It will officially begin on February 8th, as Liverpool host league leaders Arsenal at their Anfield home.
With the football transfer window winding down in the next few days, this latest signing was perhaps not one that fans were expecting.
However, managing director and chairman of Vauxhall Duncan Aldred believes the "exciting" sponsorship deal will provide a number of benefits to the iconic football club.
Managing director of Liverpool FC Ian Ayre said: "We are delighted to welcome Vauxhall on board as a partner of Liverpool FC. They have highly credible football credentials and a reputation for engaging sponsorship activation.”
Vauxhall is already the official sponsor of the England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales national teams.
