French car giant Renault has announced an international campaign set to take place over Facebook, which will result in a personalised version of the Renault Captur being released.

The manufacturer revealed at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show that it is offering its loyal fans the opportunity to vote to get a new Captur vehicle decorated in the colours of their country.

In total, there are 12 personalised designs to choose from, each of which are as colourful as the last and all of which will surely catch the eye.

At the moment, Renault Captur’s styled in the colours of the flags of Algeria, Argentina, Brazil, Britain, France, Germany, India, Italy, Romania, Spain, Switzerland and Turkey are all being shown off on Renault’s International Facebook page.

Each design was produced by the Renault Design group and those on the social network portal can now vote on which style they like best.

There is set to be plenty of interest in the poll, seeing as though Renault has close to 5.4 million fans across the world on Facebook - 400,000 of which are on Renault’s International page.

However, by the time the result of the vote is revealed on March 18th, only one personalised version of the Renault Captur in a country’s colours will be turned into a real-life model.

As an added incentive, anyone who makes their opinion felt in the poll will be entered into a prize draw, where they could win a VIP experience for two to drive a Renault Captur to the 2013 edition of the prestigious Cannes Film Festival.

Florence de Goldfiem, the vice-president of corporate communications for the Renault Group, commented: “The Inter-Country Battle is a new addition to the exclusive content that we offer fans of the international Renault Facebook page.

“The page currently has around 400,000 fans. This dynamic, innovative activity about our new crossover supports the launch of Captur by emphasising the model’s unique design and universal appeal.”
