All new Megane awarded five star NCAP safety rating
Renault's all-new Megane has been praised with a five-star safety rating after testing by the independent body, Euro NCAP.
Sharing the same Common Module Family (CMF) platform as the Kadjar Crossover, the Megane boasts features including very high elastic limit steel for the spars, side rails and cross members (notably those situated between the engine compartment and the cabin).
Extremly effective occupant restraint systems are also feature on this platform, including dual-generator front airbags. It was as a result of this feature that the M�gane managed to obtain high scores for both adult and child protection.
A number of Renault's proven driver assist systems are available in the new Megane, including Adaptive Cruise Control, Active Emergency Braking System, Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Warning and a colour head-up display.
