Citroen Announces Exciting Range Upgrades

Citroen has revealed a number of exciting updates to its popular C4, e-C4, and C5 X models, to further enhance their appeal. These include technology, styling, and powertrain improvements.

Read on to learn more.

‘My Citroen Drive Plus’ Available on C4 and e-C4

Citroen’s latest-generation infotainment system, ‘My Citroen Drive Plus’ will be rolled out across new C4 and e-C4 vehicles. This will replace the previous iteration – ‘My Citroen Drive’.

The innovative new system will incorporate a 10-inch high-definition touchscreen on the centre dashboard. With rich graphics and responsive functions, it's an extremely user-friendly interface that will make life onboard much easier.

It also features voice recognition - you'll simply need to say “Hello Citroen” before asking for help with climate, media, and phone controls.

With full wireless connectivity you can say goodbye to cables scattered all over the cabin too. This not only helps keep things tidy but also enhances safety - with fewer potential distractions.

The system also includes real time updates to its mapping platform, to ensure accuracy with any navigation requirements.

New Two-Tone Roof on C4 and e-C4

The C4 and e-C4 sport a distinctive design that combines the very best of saloon and SUV styling.

A new two-tone Perla Nera black roof option will provide striking contrasting to give a fresh new look. It will showcase the vehicles’ sleek aerodynamic shaping, giving the models an exceptional physical presence.

New Plug-in Hybrid Powertrain for C5 X

A new 180 e-EAT8 Plug-in Hybrid engine will be made available on C5 X models, replacing the PureTech 180 petrol option. This new hybrid powertrain will complement the 225 e-EAT8 Plug-in Hybrid that is already available in the range.

This move is a key part of Citroen’s energy transition strategy. The aim is to offer more eco-friendly vehicle options that are accessible to all.

The 180 e-EAT8 Plug-in Hybrid C5 X will be an ideal choice for drivers who can make their daily journeys in full electric mode yet want a petrol engine for longer distance journeys.

Semi-Automatic Driving Technology on C5 X

In a bid to create a more relaxing driving experience, especially on longer journeys, Citroen is to release additional onboard technology to the C5 X.

Highway Driver Assist 2.0 takes a step towards semi-autonomous driving with the following features:

- Semi-automatic lane change – this offers drivers the opportunity to overtake and drop back into lane

- Anticipated speed recommendation – prompts drivers to adapt their speed dependent on speed limit signs

- Steering wheel grip sensor – judges whether drivers are active and in control

These features are additional to Lane Keeping Assist, Rear Traffic Alert, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go Function, and Long Distance Blind Spot Monitoring – which are all available on the current Highway Driver Assist system.
