Citroen DS3 named Small Car of the Year

The Citroen DS3 has won an award at a key industry ceremony.

According to the manufacturer, the model was named Small Car of the Year at the Fifth Gear awards, impressing judges with its interior and exterior style, as well as its driveability.

Fifth Gear stated that the Citroen DS3 "simply doesn't put a foot wrong", particularly noting how the range includes a selection of fast yet frugal engine designs.

"What surprised us the most is just how good it is to drive. On the road the DS3 feels great, and on the track Tiff Needell twice drove it to victory against more expensive and more powerful competition," the judges added.

The victory comes after Top Gear magazine gave the Citroen DS3 its Car of the Year accolade at its 2010 awards.

Next year will mark the debut of the Citroen DS3 WRC in the World Rally Championship, which begins in Sweden in February.ADNFCR-3205-ID-800286880-ADNFCR
