Ford wins the treble at Honest John Awards
Ford has picked up three gongs at the annual Honest John Awards. For the fourth year running, its C-MAX took home Best MPV, while its Transit Custom secured Best Van and its Mondeo bagged Most Highly Rated Car.
Dan Harrison, editor of honestjohn.co.uk, said that the C-MAX is extremely popular and the fact that it is coming to dominate this category is indicative of its wide appeal.
Moreover, with its closest competitor for this title being Ford’s B-MAX, the car manufacturer is clearly leading the way with designing renowned people carriers.
“And that's little surprise given how versatile, well-built and family-friendly they are,” Mr Harrison commented.
He also applauded Ford for taking risks with the Transit Custom, which was already the product of a “winning formula”.
However, as is testament to it winning Best Van, the company has exceeded itself and “raised the benchmark in the one tonne van market, with a practical load area and strong range of 2.2 TDCi engines”.
The car expert also said that the Ford Mondeo is “much-loved” by its owners, who tend to praise the model’s “smooth and comfortable” ride.
“With a series of five star ratings from owners, the Mondeo is proving to be much loved by owners,” Mr Harrison concluded.
