Citroen is celebrating yet another industry accolade after the Berlingo picked up an industry honouring the light commercial vehicle (LCV) sector.

The popular van continues its impressive start to 2012 by picking up the Institute of Transport Management's (ITM) Best LCV 2012 prize.

Drivers could be tempted to get behind the wheel of the new Berlingo after the awards panel highlighted its reliability, cost effectiveness and durability.

"Businesses are looking for LCVs that are lighter, with lower emissions and better fuel efficiency, qualities that the Citroen Berlingo range has in spades," the ITM commented.

The organisation said that in particular the Citroen Berlingo e-HDI Airdream models, which are equipped with e-HDi micro-hybrid Stop & Start technology, stand apart from other vans on the market.

"For further fuel savings, all Berlingo vans are specified with Citroen's unique Trafficmaster telematics package. This further reduces urban fuel consumption and emissions by offering the fastest congestion avoidance routing direct to the driver," the body added.
