Mitsubishi finally reveals the all-new Mirage range

After plenty of anticipation, Mitsubishi has lifted the cover off its latest A-segment car, the long-awaited all-new Mitsubishi Mirage.

Complete with an entirely revised design to previous small car concepts from the Japanese car giant, the new Mirage is to be stylish, practical and well-equipped to suit the motorist’s needs.

This latter point is highlighted by the fact that every model in the new Mitsubishi Mirage collection will be fitted with such standard driver’s aids as active stability control with traction control, an emergency stop system and a brake assist system.

From a safety standpoint, the car also comes packed with child protection rear door locks, a driver SRS front airbag, a passenger SRS front airbag with cut-off switch and both driver and passenger side and curtain airbags.

The varieties of new Mitsubishi Mirage vehicles each have their exclusive list of features, however. For example, the Mirage 1.0-litre manual comes installed with 14-inch steel wheels with wheel colours and an AM/FM radio/CD player with two speakers

Meanwhile, both the 1.2-litre AS&G and CVT models are enhanced with a sleek leather steering wheel and gear knob, as well as being fitted with stylish 15-inch alloy wheels and a keyless entry system with push button start.

Looking under the all-new Mitsubishi Mirage bonnet, drivers can also glimpse upon a new generation of lightweight and compact petrol engines from the Japanese manufacturer.

To help the car stand out on the road, motorists are able to choose between eight magnificent paintjobs - polar white, eisen grey, starlight silver, pop green, simple red, reef blue, cosmos black and white pearl.

Lance Bradley, the managing director of Mitsubishi Motors in the UK, was keen to add: “Mirage has been designed from the ground up with emissions in mind. It’s going to be the only model on sale in the UK where every car in the range emits 100g/km CO2 or less, meaning no road tax or
London Congestion Charge on any Mirage.”
