Peugeot 508 released with enhanced specification

Peugeot is hoping to build upon the success of the 508 since its launch in April 2011 with a new and enhanced version of the vehicle.

Additions to the 508 comprise developments to the specification and visual appeal of the Access, Active, Allure and GT models, with the changes intended to strengthen the model's competitiveness and appeal. Only the top-of-the-range 508 RXH has been left untouched.

The alterations include 16-inch alloy wheels and Bluetooth for the Access. The Active has been revamped with 18-inch Naos alloy wheels, GT-style front grille, Peugeot Connect Navigation, SOS and Assistance, a rear parking air and electric folding mirrors.

The Allure has gained Xenon directional headlamps with Peugeot Smartbeam Assistance, headlamp washers, LED daytime running lights and a front parking aid. Lastly, the GT has received 19-inch Capella alloy wheels and front parking aid sensors.

What's more, the prices for the 508 are remaining broadly the same despite the significant overhaul to the range. The Active, Access and Allure are all going up by £200 on-the-road and the GT is increasing by £400.
