Renault Kangoo strikes twice at awards bash
The Renault Kangoo van was the proud recipient of two awards at a recent ceremony for magazine, Business Van Manager, hosted in the UK capital.
It was recognised during the Business Van of the Year Awards, picking up the Green Van of the Year title for the Z.E. and the best Small Trades Van for the ML 19dCi 75 Stop & Start.
A panel of five judges picked the Kangoo for the plaudits, selecting it out of a list of 50 entries for the awards.
The Kangoo Z.E. won in its green category over other notable vehicles such as the Ford Fiesta van and two entries from Volkswagen.
Editorial director of the publication Ralph Morton said: “What a great electric van this is. Although the Renault Kangoo Z.E. is limited in its range (106 miles), the van’s overall performance, around town agility and low running costs make it an excellent choice for small businesses wanting to operate a green van in city environments.”
Elsewhere, the second winning Kangoo was selected for its accolade over such vehicles as the Citroen Berlingo, Peugeot Panther, Vauxhall Combo and Volkswagen Caddy.
According to Mr Morton, the van won in the small trades category due to its appeal to a wide variety of sectors.
