Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer 'offers great value'

The new sports tourer version of the Vauxhall Astra offers a range of new features compared to the current entry-level estate model, but the manufacturer has lowered the list price.

Due to enter the market later this year, the British-made car features a range of additional standard kit compared to the current version, despite being more than £500 cheaper.

Such features include air conditioning, electronic stability control and active safety front head restraints.

Further to this, the new car offers more luggage space that the current version when the seats are up, thanks in part to a tyre repair kit being fitted in place of a spare wheel.

Vauxhall believes the new sports tourer model could account for some ten per cent of all Astra sales when it hits the UK markets later this year.

The car is also among the first in the Vauxhall range to be fitted with start-stop technology, designed to boost fuel efficiency.ADNFCR-3205-ID-19905496-ADNFCR
