The exterior of the latest Ford Transit brings a fresh look to the iconic design. Whilst inside, the intelligently crafted cabin features a new Instrument Panel and puts a series of advanced technologies at your fingertips.
Exceptional load space and access
The New Transit provides impressive load space in all three dimensions: load length, width (from wheel arch to wheel arch) and usable interior height. With 15.1 cubic metres of load space, you can fit cargo over 3 metres long. And with a carrying capacity of up to 2.1 tonnes, youíll never be short of space or ability to
transport almost anything. Wide side load doors, optimised opening height and a rear access step all ensure effortless access to your cargo too.
Helping you to work smarter
The New Transit is packed with advanced technology. All made to help you work smarter and more efficiently. These include the Blind Spot Information System and Cross Traffic Alert, both designed to alert you to other road users when changing lanes or reversing. Active Park Assist makes parking your van easier. And the new Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control helps to make long drives on the motorway less tiring and more economical. Thereís even a new high level rear-view camera with Downlighter and front wide-view camera, so you can always see whatís around your van. Itís technology so useful, youíll wonder how you did without it.
Advanced new engine technology
Featuring a range of advanced, next generation 2.0-litre Ford EcoBlue diesel engines, the New Transit is more powerful and more efficient than ever before. With four powertrains available, offering up to 185 PS and 415 Nm of torque, youíre guaranteed to find the one that meets your specific needs. Whichever you choose, every engine meets the stringent Euro 6.2 emissions standards too. The vehicle is even available as a mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle (mHEV) for even greater fuel economy and reduced CO2 emissions.
The key to a more connected world
For the first time, the New Transit is available with a FordPass Connect modem. The system provides a range of invaluable benefits, including up to 4G WiFi for up to ten devices, and real-time traffic updates delivered straight to your in-car navigation system. When combined with the FordPass app on your phone, youíll be able to check if you remembered to lock the doors, and then lock or unlock them remotely. You can even see your vanís location on a map, so you donít have to worry about forgetting where you parked when in unfamiliar locations..
A system that can help prevent collisions and protect pedestrians
Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection uses radar and camera technology to scan the road ahead. If a collision risk with a vehicle, pedestrian or cyclist is detected, itíll then provide you with a warning. If you donít respond in time, the system can automatically apply up to full braking force to help reduce the
severity of, or even eliminate, some frontal collisions.
