All-New Renault Arkana Receives 5-Star Safety Rating
The all-new Renault Arkana has been awarded the highest mark at the latest Euro NCAP safety tests.
The Euro NCAP safety test features rigorous assessments to determine how well vehicles perform in certain crash scenarios (frontal, rear and side tests) regarding the safety of the passengers. Areas of the vehicle that are assessed include Adult Occupant Protection, Child Occupant Protection, Vulnerable Road User Protection and Safety Assist features.
The overall scores for each area for the Arkana were:
Adult Occupant Protection: 96%
Child Occupant Protection: 83%
Vulnerable Road Users: 75%
Safety Assist: 74%
The all-new Arkana is based on the same platform as the all-new Clio and Captur, which also received top ratings when they underwent the Euro NCAP tests. These results show how the brand’s commitment to producing the safest models on the market is being achieved, making Renault models even more appealing for families.
The exterior design of the all-new Arkana is strong, while the cabin area has been designed to keep all passengers safe. The positioning of the seats and seatbelts offer ultimate support for both adults and children and child seats can be fitted securely and safely in the rear.
Renault has ensured the Arkana features the latest technology to enhance safety and protection. The Motorway and Traffic Assistant that includes Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go, makes long distances and tackling rush hour a lot easier, while Traffic Sign Recognition, Blind Spot Warning, Lane Departure Warning and Lane Keep Assist also brings added convenience, safety and reassurance to every journey.
An Active Emergency Braking System has also been installed and was praised by Euro NCAP judges and helps to warn drivers of potential dangers by initiating braking.
