Fiat 500 '57 Vintage to debut at Geneva Motor Show

The aim of the modern Fiat 500 has always been to celebrate the history of its iconic predecessor of 1957.

This year, Fiat is taking that homage to a new level with the launch of the new Fiat 500 Vintage '57, which is set to make its debut at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show next month.

The Vintage '57 is a contemporary interpretation of the classic 500. Finished in pastel colours with a contrasting white roof, spoiler, antenna and mirror covers, the most distinctive element of the Vintage '57 is its 16-inch vintage alloy wheels resembling those used on the original model. The wheel centres also feature the historical Fiat logos, which are repeated on the front and rear badges.

The retro theme continues inside with a white dashboard, tan-coloured Poltrona Frau leather seats with ivory leather 'half-moon' inserts and '500' embroidery in tan.

Although it resembles its predecessor, the Vintage '57 will come well-equipped with a range of technological features. Standard equipment includes air conditioning, Blue&Me, Start&Stop, ESP and Hill Holder.

Arriving at UK dealerships in April, the new Fiat 500 Vintage '57 will be available with the petrol-powered 69bhp 1.2-litre as well as the 0.9 TwinAir 85bhp turbo petrol engine.
