Ford unleashes Metal Ka in UK

Ford has released a new version of a popular small car in the UK.

The Ford Metal Ka replaces the Tattoo version of the model, joining the Grand Prix and Digital lines to add more choice to the Ka range.

On sale from today (March 1st) in the UK, the car features dark styling that contrasts with its companion vehicles, using the Zetec design specifications as a base and adding glossy, metallic components.

Martin Smith, Ford of Europe executive design director, stated: "With the Metal Ka, we're looking at fashion and also a little bit of luxury. You often see high-gloss black in large and luxury segment cars, but combined with the chrome this is something that is really fun."

The Ford Metal Ka features 16-inch silver alloy wheels as standard that can be upgraded to black, as well as a choice of midnight, strobe or moonlight metallic paint.

In other news, Ford will premiere its new Transit Connect Electric model at the Geneva Motor Show this week.ADNFCR-3205-ID-800434911-ADNFCR
