South Korean car maker Hyundai has massively upped its game over the last ten years.

That is according to the latest Driver Power survey from Auto Express, which singled the marque out as the most improved car maker of the last decade.

The firm has the most improved customer satisfaction rating over the ten-year survey period, with a rise of eight per cent.

Indeed, the firm's satisfaction rating increased from 78.12 in 2002 to 86.34 this year.

Graham Hope, acting editor for Auto Express, said: "No brand has taken such a massive leap over the past decade as Hyundai. Its range now is unrecognisable from 2002, and our readers regularly tell us that they are both pleased and proud to own a Hyundai."

Tony Whitehorn, Hyundai UK's managing director, added: "We are delighted to win this award. It confirms just how far we have come in a short space of time and that we now have a range of cars people can be proud to have on their driveways."
