New Mazda 6 'to appeal to fleet sector'

New Mazda 6 'to appeal to fleet sector'

Posted by Craig Salter

The new 6 model from Mazda is set to appeal to the fleet sector with its improved fuel economy and lower CO2 emissions, the manufacturer has forecast.

Released later this month, the Mazda 6 boasts an increase of more than six per cent in fuel economy and a reduction in carbon output of 6.1 per cent, while specification levels have also been enhanced.

Fleet and remarketing director of Mazda UK Peter Allibon said he expects the vehicle "to retain its fleet leadership position and the model to provide a springboard for further growth as it appeals to more company car drivers" as a result of its impressive list price and low depreciation rates.

The vehicle line-up has been priced from £16,995 to £23,445 and covers 19 different models with a range of 2.0-litre and 2.2-litre engines.

In related news, the Mazda 6 Estate vehicle was recently named Best Estate Car 2010 at the Fleet World Honours.
