Nissan UEFA Championship League extended globally

Following the success of Nissan's first year as Official Automotive Sponsor to the UEFA Champions League, they have announced the global extension of the partnership for the next three seasons.

Until the 2017/18 season, Nissan will sponsor UEFA Champions League matches in countries including Brazil, China, Japan and the USA.

UEFA Champions League fans will also have the chance to benefit from the partnership, with Nissan having the exclusive rights to offer fans the opportunity to be a Centre Circle Carrier, which will give over 1,300 children throughout Europe the chance become part of the opening ceremony and carry the iconic UEFA Champions League emblem onto the pitch ahead of each match.

To celebrate the partnership, Nissan will be offering two passes to each fixture out to lucky fans. Launching a new video featuring the Nissan GT-R, they will invite people to enter by tweeting the #ChampionsKey hashtag.

Corporate Vice President, Head of Marketing and Brand Strategy for Nissan, Roel de Vries commented: "Our aim from the start of the partnership was to give fans an engaging and exciting experience of the UEFA Champions League. We constantly strive to innovate across our whole business and with the partnership now being truly global; we can offer even more people the opportunity to get involved with our brand throughout the season. Whether through our ambassadors, the activations and competitions that we will host or the exclusive chance to join the players on the pitch at every match with our Centre Circle Carrier activity, we'll give people more access to one of the world's greatest sporting competitions."
