Peugeot to launch new models at industry show

After a record-breaking 200th anniversary year in 2010, Peugeot is set to take the Geneva Motor Show by storm.

The manufacturer reported earlier this year that it recorded a 16 per cent rise in sales last year, shipping 2.1 million units globally, and hopes to continue the momentum with the launch of two new models.

Peugeot is poised to give the new 308 its world premiere at the industry exhibition, alongside the new 508 and a number of environmental technologies set to be rolled out by the firm soon.

The new 308 features new styling and three body shapes, hatchback, SW and coupe cabriolet, as well as reduced carbon emissions and a 1.6-litre HDi 112BHP Euro 5 engine.

"While the new 308 confirms the dynamic excellence for which the car has been renowned since its launch, it now sets the benchmark in terms of environmental efficiency. Contributing factors include its weight, tyres and redesigned aerodynamics," Peugeot stated.

Meanwhile, the company is also set to showcase a limited edition Asphalt edition of the RCZ, as well as its first diesel hybrid in the form of the 3008 Hybrid4, which goes on sale later this year.ADNFCR-3205-ID-800419424-ADNFCR
