Red Bull thanks Renault for successful F1 season

Formula One racing champion Sebastian Vettel and Red Bull team principle Christian Horner have visited the Renaultsport F1 base in Viry-Chatillon, Paris.

The purpose of the visit was to celebrate the remarkable success of the team this year and to thank the Renault staff for all their hard work.

Indeed, in the Renaultsport-powered RS27 Red Bull car Vettel cruised to championship victory in order to retain his F1 title, no mean feat for a 22-year-old driver.

Vettel looked back on a superb season and described all those that had a hand in his victory as one big family.

"In many ways the team of people designing, building and optimising the Renault RS27 engine feels like one big family, so it was fantastic to come here today and thank them all in person," he commented.

Horner echoed these sentiments and said that Red Bull is delighted and excited to see what the next five years of their partnership with Renault will bring.

"The Renault guys on the ground are as hungry as we are to win. We’re delighted to be with them for another five years. The collaboration has matured into a genuine partnership and that will only grow stronger over time," he added.
