Renault Kangoo Van Z.E. claims second successive GreenFleet Award

The Renault Kangoo Van Z.E. has once again shown its abilities as a leading commercial vehicle with environmental benefits, after claiming the 'Electric Vehicle of the Year' title from GreenFleet for the second time.

Fifth Gear presenter Jonny Smith was on hand to present the award, with the event taking place at the Emirates Stadium - home of Arsenal football club.

According to judges, which included the magazine's editorial and research team, the vehicle was "more than a worthy winner again".

In a statement, judge and contributor to GreenFleet Colin Boyton said the vehicle also picked up accolades in the form of 'Ecovan of the Year' and 'International Van of the Year'.

Having achieved sales of 11,000, the Kangoo Van Z.E. is the leading small electric vehicle of its kind in Europe and has received a number of plaudits since its 2011 launch.

While the vehicle emits very few carbon emissions, the van also provides businesses with a large holding capacity, with a loading length of 2.50m and a carrying capacity up to 3.5m3.
