Renault to launch limited edition Megane Renaultsport Red Bull Racing RB8
Renault has unveiled a limited edition Megane Renaultsport Red Bull Racing RB8, with just 30 set to go on sale in Britain in September.
Taking inspiration from the Red Bull Racing Formula One team, which has just won its third constructor world title, the vehicle features the race team’s special Twilight Blue finish and Platinum Grey detail.
On the inside, there is plenty of Red Bull branding, Recaro seats, R-Link multimedia and a TomTom Live navigation system.
The R-Link system in particular brings together a number of the vehicle’s functions on a multimedia tablet wit that can be accessed through touch, voice activation or through a joystick on the central console. Meanwhile, the Renaultsport Monitor 2.0 comes with GPS-tracked lap timing, a special Red Bull racing home page, 3D information and the capability to save information to a USB dongle.
It is also equipped with the same Bridgestone Potenza RE050A tyres that the Megane Renaultsport 265 Trophy used to set a lap record at the Nurburgring in Germany. These come fitted on 19-inch black ‘Steev’ wheels with platinum rims.
The Megane Renaultsport Red Bull Racing RB8 is due to go on sale in the UK on September 30th, but orders will be taken from mid-June.
