CUPRA Crowned UK's Fastest Growing Car Brand for 2022
Performance sports car brand CUPRA looks unstoppable right now. The Spanish manufacturer had an excellent 2022 - and further success is predicted for 2023.
Having only launched as an official stand-alone brand in 2018, CUPRA’s quick success is especially exciting to see.
According to data from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT), CUPRA sold a total of 14,383 new vehicles in the UK last year – an increase of 89.65% on the previous year. These figures make it the UK’s fastest growing car brand for 2022.
The brand’s success was not limited to the UK market, however. CUPRA hit an all-time high with over 150,000 vehicles delivered globally in 2022.
Last year was challenging across the automotive sector, as supply chain issues continued to affect lead times on new vehicles. Evidently, CUPRA were able to weather the storm and provide customers with the cars they wanted.
