Ford B-MAX: Urban driving at its best

Ford has announced the latest addition to its prestigious history in the form of the B-MAX, a vehicle designed for the modern day urban driver.

It might look compact, and indeed it is, but through its unique easy access sliding door system, the inside is as spacious as they come.

"The refined interior of the new B-MAX has an elegant, spacious design with high quality materials, subtle colour contrasts and chrome detailing," the American multinational car manufacturer states.

"And with a full-length, panoramic roof which floods the interior with natural light, it creates a sophisticated environment for both driver and passengers."

Add to that the latest technologies at play, including the Active City Stop – effectively automatic breaking in slow-moving traffic – and SYNC – controlling entertainment with voice commands – it soon becomes clear what makes this a standout car.

It is also one of the most fuel efficient models in Ford's range. For example, when the B-MAX is in a stationary position, the engine automatically switches off, which can cut fuel consumption by as much as ten per cent.
