SEAT Leon wins
For the second year in a row, the SEAT Leon has claimed the "best family car" award from car review site Carbuyer.co.uk.
With the awards now in their fourth year, the popular site has altered its awards process, basing the criteria on what its site visitors search for and the top 20 questions they ask.
With a Carbuyer rating of 4.8 out of 5, the Spanish brand's best-selling model was always going to be in the running for top honours in arguably one of the most fiercely contested car categories.
The Leon line-up has recently widened even further with the addition of two derivatives for its ST (Sports Tourer) bodystyle: the all-road X-PERIENCE and hot CUPRA 280.
The X-PERIENCE offers a premium feel and is permanently available in four-wheel-drive, allied to a 2.0-litre TDI 149bhp or 183hp engine. Meanwhile, the CUPRA 280 is powered by a 2.0-litre 280bhp, which can propel it from 0-62mph in just six seconds when mated to a DSG gearbox. It also has a spacious luggage compartment of up to 1,470 litres.
