New Transit Connect introduces a smart new front-end appearance that adopts the latest Ford design DNA. An imposing three-bar Transit grille combined with slimmer headlamps with powerful HID Xenon lamps and LED daytime running lights available on high series models, combine with a more aerodynamic lower fascia and front spoiler to deliver the fresh new look.
Inside the Transit Connect, an upgraded cabin features a revised instrument panel with a new central control area that incorporates a floating, tablet-inspired 6-inch colour touchscreen on high series models, featuring Ford's SYNC 3 communications and entertainment system. New trim materials provide a stylish and hard-wearing working environment for long working days in the cab.
The new Transit Connect introduces a comprehensive range of segment-first driver assistance features including Intelligent Speed Limiter that enables automatic adjustment of maximum vehicle speed to remain within legal limits, the Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection emergency braking system, Side Wind Stabilisation, and Active Park Assist that helps to steer the vehicle into both parallel and perpendicular parking spaces.
The trademark Transit toughness, durability and functionality still remain, in features including an ingenious load-through bulkhead, and flexible front passenger seating. But this is now an exceptionally sophisticated 1-tonne van equipped with valuable drive-assist technologies many of which are not available in vehicles today. Others help keep drivers connected, hands-free; to help them control and monitor their speed; and even to help protect pedestrians in their path.
The New Transit Connect now comes with optional Intelligent Speed Assist, designed to enhance your speed control and enabling you to concentrate on the road. First, the Traffic Sign Recognition camera automatically detects the current speed limit (when activated), then the system adjusts your maximum speed setting to that limit.

Choose either voice commands or the 6 colour touchscreen with pinch-and-swipe gestures for intuitive navigation. Live Traffic can help you avoid the jams. You can even call up a list of local restaurants simply by saying Im hungry.
Available on all van versions with a dual front passenger seat, an ingenious load-through bulkhead lets you carry items up to 3m long in a short wheelbase van (L1) and up to 3.4m in a long wheel-base model (L2). The bulkhead has a flip-up hatch at the bottom, which you can slide long items through and into a storage area beneath the front passenger seats. Behind the bulkhead, theres room for two Euro-pallets (in L1) or up to four 8 x 4 sheets of material (in L2).
